In the book Tevarih-i Al-i Osman (1299–1523), Hadidi’s work Tevarih-i Al-i Osman — one of the most significant examples of Ottoman historiography — is examined using scholarly methods and presented as a critical edition. The study clarifies Hadidi’s position within the Ottoman historical tradition that emerged during the 15^(th) and 16^(th) centuries, and establishes a definitive text by comparing manuscript copies of the work. This study is notable for its original insights into Ottoman history from the founding period up to 1523.
